ELIAS
ELIAS aims at establishing Europe as a leader in Artificial Intelligence (AI) research that drives sustainable innovation and economic development.
We will create a Network of Excellence connecting researchers in academia with practitioners in the industry to differentiate Europe as a region where AI research builds towards a sustainable long-term future for our planet, contributes to a cohesive society, and respects individual preferences and rights.
TANGO
TANGO is a €7M EU-funded Horizon Europe project that aims to develop the theoretical foundations and the computational framework for synergistic human-machine decision-making. The 4-year project will pave the way for the next generation of human-centric AI systems. The potential impact on individuals and society of the TANGO framework will be evaluated on a pool of real-world use cases of extremely high social impact, namely supporting women during pregnancy and postpartum, supporting surgical teams in intraoperative decision-making, supporting loan officers and applicants in credit lending decision processes, and helping public policymakers in designing incentives and allocating funds. The success of these case studies will foster the adoption of TANGO as the framework of reference for developing a new generation of synergistic AI systems and will strengthen the leadership of Europe in human-centric AI.
FAIR
La Fondazione FAIR – Future Artificial Intelligence Research è una fondazione senza scopo di lucro che ha come scopo principale quello di realizzare gli interventi finanziati nell’ambito del Piano Nazionale di Ripresa e Resilienza (PNRR), e da eventuali successivi finanziamenti, nel settore dell’Intelligenza Artificiale, lavorando all’interno del Partenariato Esteso.
Precrisis
The project is delivered by a multi-disciplinary consortium of 9 partners representing 7 EU member states, with a broad EU perspective. It receives funding from the European Union’s Internal Security Fund. This 2-year project started on 1 May 2023 and aims to promote integrated smarter innovative security through the empowerment of law enforcement authorities, first responders, local managers of public spaces and related security stakeholders, enhancing public-private cooperation. PRECRISIS will develop, test, and roll out innovative, sustainable, and effective AI-based digital solutions and practical toolkits, in full compliance with ethical standards and related legislation on the protection of personal data, by integrating existing expertise, best practices and privacy-by-design approaches to make public spaces more secure.
VERDI
VERDI is a project that prioritises pregnant women, children and high-risk populations in research on new SARS-CoV-2 variants of concern.
It also focuses on preparedness for future infections outbreaks, building on experiences with COVID-19 and mpox.
Bologna Digital Twin
Uno strumento virtuale che funziona in simbiosi con la città, per analizzare, correlare e visualizzare i dati, per facilitare la comprensione e l’esplorazione dei fenomeni e dei sistemi della città, prevedere in anticipo le evoluzioni urbane, attraverso la costruzione di scenari ipotetici e la simulazione della loro evoluzione nel tempo, monitorare l’evoluzione e gli effetti degli eventi esterni e delle azioni di governo e ottimizzare l’efficacia dei servizi e l’impatto delle politiche tramite una loro continua revisione in base ai dati sul loro funzionamento.
AIxPA
AIxPA aims to implement an Artificial Intelligence (AI) solution specifically designed for the needs of public administrations. The goal is to encourage a structural adoption of AI by the public administration, developing its transformational value and overcoming the current fragmented use thereof, thus providing a scalable model to generate a significant impact for growth in the local area.
